Jr. QA Engineer - L1 Support

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Junior QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the Quality of the product and features of Screen Magic Software Solutions across all the product lines. He/she develops test documentation including Test Plans, Test Case, and Test Scenarios and executes manual and automated tests, and analyze and troubleshoot issues. Provide QA support to customer-facing teams and contribute to resolving customer issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
  • Evaluate product functionalities as per the specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Document lessons learned, help maintain a knowledge database
  • Must be good at writing test cases and test scenarios.
  • Validate the issues reported by the customers
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and resolve customer issues
  • Provide QA support to customer-facing teams
  • Ready to learn cross-functional technology
  • Good team player and contributor

Required Skills:

  • Experience in manual testing
  • Strong written and verbal communication demonstrated through the creation of test plans, defect documentation, and summary presentations.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Has a good understanding of testing processes. (STLC, SDLC)
  • Working knowledge of test management software e.g. Jira and SQL

Good to have:

  • SQL knowledge
  • JAVA knowledge
  • Salesforce knowledge

Education:

Graduation in related field

Stipend during Internship for 6months :

Rs.15,000/-  to 18,000/- Per Month

Approx. Package after Internship :

Rs. 3,50,000/- Per Annum
